Love the Boot Week

Keep Louisiana Beautiful, along with the support of Governor John Bel Edwards and Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, is spearheading the largest litter removal effort in Louisiana’s history, to coincide with Earth Day. Individuals, businesses and organizations are encouraged to plan and partake in community cleanups in an effort to create a cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana. BREC’s Neighborhood Movie in the Park
Friday, April 22, 5:30 p.m.
Maplewood Park & Highland Road Community Park

Grab your chairs, blankets, and a picnic to join BREC for a movie under the stars. Seating will start at 5:30 p.m. and the movie will begin after sunset. Watch for signs at the park and the BREC website and social media to find out which movies will be scheduled!

Earth Day Celebration with 2 Domestic 1 Import

Come celebrate Earth Day with 2 Domestic 1 Import – full band style! Doors open at 6 p.m., and you can enjoy shopping from local vendors with rockin’ tunes to follow at 7 p.m.!

You're invited to an afternoon of fun activities and connections with your Baton Rouge neighbors to learn about Earth Day. Join Mall of Louisiana's community partners and retailers for our free, family fun event with Earth Day-related activities, games, crafts, magic show and more. We can't wait to celebrate with you rain (indoors) or shine (outdoors)!

Pets and Paddle
Saturday, April 23, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Milford Wampold Memorial Park

What can be more fun than to give your family pet a nice boat ride on the University Lakes? This all-in-one event, in cooperation with Friends of the Animals, Pets and Paddling is an annual fundraiser and pet adoption program. Make a $10 contribution to Friends of the Animals and take your pooch out in a kayak or paddleboard. This is a great opportunity to help a wonderful cause and enjoy some time outdoors with your four-legged friends.

Swamp Art Show Field Days
April 23 & 24
Bluebonnet Swamp Center

Those interested in working on entry pieces for upcoming Swamp Art Show Series shows can visit the swamp on this day for inspiration (FOR FREE!). Whether your gear includes canvases or cameras, come out and enjoy this paint-out and field-shoot day. Bring your own supplies – we’ll provide a workspace indoors and out for you to create your masterpieces!

Vibing Vegan Fête

Enjoy live music and lawn games, move your body, connect with the community, and discover new products and businesses to support your vegan plant-based lifestyle. Not vegan but curious? Come on!  You’re invited, too!
